"You can't own property!" "I can! Because I'm not a penniless hippy!" -based Professor Farnsworth, to a penniless hippy.

@MartianKyo it really is a ridiculous position though, there's no need to characterize it as such.

@JerichoWhiskey my dog will keep and play with the same nasty, slobber and dirt covered ball for an obscenely long amount of time. And I used to try giving her new balls, doesn't care, nope, that ball sucks, she only wants her old disgusting ball. When it gets too bad I have to just throw it away and eventually she forgets and accepts the new ball, and the cycle begins anew. So animals absolutely understand the concept of property.

But without some form of policing, it would just be mob rule, the powerful could just simply victimize the weak. There has to be some kind of neutral arbiter for justice. And it can never truly be neutral, as long as it's fallible humans enforcing the law. But doing the best we can to achieve that is still better than not trying at all.

@ArticBlueFox96 effectively, no their isn't. If you give a government entity the authority to decide who owns what property, don't be surprised when they decide your shoes are included in that.

@ArticBlueFox96 distinction without a difference, that's just woo woo nonsense your puppet masters uploaded to your NPC drive.

@ArticBlueFox96 so according to your woo woo nonsense, if you owned a house (I know, leftist owning a house, hilarious, but it's just a hypothetical), that would be personal property, not private property, correct?

@ArticBlueFox96 so what if you start a business from home? Is it now private property, because it's your home and your office? Or are the physical goods you use for your business private property? And what if you decide to get a roommate to help pay bills, and you charge them rent? Is it now private property for you, but personal property for them?

@Plasmon19 it really is pretty hilarious, and also frustrating as hell, how the people who always complain about how corrupt our system is are also the same people who want to put more power into the hands of the corrupt system.
