I don't think we could ever have 3 major parties, there would have to be 4. If a socialist party ever got enough support to compete with Democrats, it would basically hand every election to Republicans, and if there was a libertarian party in the same scenario, it would hand every election to Democrats. And neither democrat or republican voters are willing to lose a few elections for the betterment of the future, so the best scenario would be to have 2 parties emerge around the same time. And people also need to drop the attitude that voting independent party is a "wasted vote", because it's a self fulfilling prophecy.

@garfieldcouch4443 oh you mean the countries that are nearly completely culturally and ethnically homogenous? How right wing of you.
2
@10tothebigguy25 for real, and nearly all of the problems they cite as why America sucks are far more prevalent among minorities than they are with white Americans. They're accidental white supremacists, it's hilarious.
2
@10tothebigguy25 I think some of them do though, when you see BLM and antifa rioters popping off with the N-word at black police officers, those people are damn well aware that they're racist. They're just liars, and they manipulate the idiots that are too stupid to realize they're racist. It really makes no sense how anyone can be so dumb they don't see it, they're completely obsessed with race and identity. And they think the people who are just saying "chill out and let people just be people" are the racists.

@mandatoryhelicopterrides4596 it's hilarious how the people who are the most vocal and outraged about Roe being overturned are also the same people who don't even know what it means. It's just like gun control, the people who want the most restrictions are the people who know the least about guns and gun laws.

You lefties are so delusional, it's hilarious. Something like 10% of Americans consider themselves progressive, your ideas are not popular.
1
@garfieldcouch4443 only when you present it as "free healthcare". When you tell the truth, that it would come out of taxes, that number suddenly drops, dramatically.
1
@garfieldcouch4443 you can have whatever opinion you want about it, but the majority of Americans don't want it. That's a fact. And if you think the actual price tag would be the price tag progressives tell you it would be, you're a damn fool. And I would challenge you to give me ONE example of a social spending policy in the US that didn't cost significantly more than we were told it was going to cost.
1
@garfieldcouch4443 but we've increased social spending every decade since the 1920s. And the problems keep getting worse, as you just pointed out. You're accidentally admitting that your policies don't work.
1
@10tothebigguy25 isn't it hilarious how all the countries they talk about being better than America are the countries that are 90% or more white? You gotta love it. And they're typically pretty culturally conservative nations too, they're progressive with their taxing and social spending, but they also have a more free market than the US and lower corporate taxes.
1
@crobinson2624 but a progressive party would radically change America. They're already trying. So you're accidentally admitting the only way for progressives to win is to lie. Which everyone knows. But it's still pretty funny when you guys are accidentally honest.
1
@crobinson2624 you're not taken seriously because you're not serious people. Abolish police? Just give people more stuff? Come on, you're insane. Your ideas for policies are only popular with 20 year old idiots that have no idea whatsoever how the real world works.
1
@JayOne718 ummm... Yes it does.
1
@JayOne718 sure, the most popular policies don't always win out. But progressive policies are not popular, at all. Somewhere around 10% of Americans are progressives. You're a fringe minority of lunatics that complain the loudest on the internet. Nobody likes you. Even progressives don't like other progressives.
1
@JayOne718 overturning Roe is popular among people who actually know what the ruling means. It's pretty much exclusively supported by people who don't know what it means. If 95% of people who know about cars like Chevy, and 95% of people who know nothing about cars like Honda, I'm gonna side with the people who know about cars, even if it's a smaller number of people than the Honda fangirls.
1
@JayOne718 no, more people are against overturning it than for. But not by a huge margin, it's not like only 10% of people support it, like the amount of people who self identify as progressive. That's my point. And I see your point, that the most popular position or policy doesn't always win out. But policies with 10% support rarely, if ever win out, and they shouldn't.
1
@JayOne718 yea we don't live in a direct democracy, little fella. And for good reason. Abolishing slavery used to be unpopular, segregation was popular for a long time after that (both things that the left supported and the right opposed, btw). We don't change policy because 51% of people support it. There's a process things have to go through.
