You may think bail reform is about releasing the wrongfully convicted, and maybe you genuinely believe that, but that's not what it is in reality, it never will be. You can't have a soft on crime approach and not expect real criminals to not be let off, it doesn't work that way. If you're soft on crime, there will be more crime, if you're hard on crime, there will be harsh punishments and more wrongful convictions. That's just how the real world works. You don't get to have your cake and eat it too, there are always good and bad things that come with policy, if it was a simple as just having all the good things, then every state and country would just do that, and we wouldn't even argue about politics anymore.
