  1. My biggest indication that cable is dying is when the MLB playoffs started mostly being shown on FS1 and TBS, so you had to have cable to watch, only certain games are on Fox. They used to all be on basic cable channels, so pretty much everyone could watch every game. But live sports are one of the only things people still want to watch at the time, you can stream pretty much any movie or TV show either free online or through cheap services, or free bootlegged services. Nobody really cares if they watch the show a little while after the original air. So their death rattle is copyrighting the one thing people do want to watch live, sports.
