Vegans are just too lazy to actually be a good person, but they want to feel like they're a better person than everyone. Which the second part is obviously true. But you have to kill plants to eat them too. By your own logic, you hurt plants. Plants are living things too. Not a straw man. Yea I've tried to be civil with vegans. I don't really care, do what you want. But they always go into attack mode like some kind of psychotic drunk Amish dude. So I have fun trolling them. It's hilarious to watch their moral house of cards come crashing down.

@williamghost1516 because western culture values tolerance, and that often goes too far over the top where people are hesitant to call a crazy spade a crazy spade, for fear of the social backlash. Makes it even more laughable that all the victim groups are always accusing us of being intolerant. If anything, liberal society is overly tolerant, to its own detriment.

Anon Anon you're not in a cult because you don't eat meat. You're in a cult because you're under extremely restrictive thought control that leads to behavioral, emotional, and information control. Anon Anon because it's a ridiculous point, just because we eat some animals doesn't mean we have to eat all animals. And most people are against "animal torture" but there are humane forms of farming and we have regulations for that. That doesn't mean we can't do better, and we definitely should do better. I understand there are problems with factory farming. Hell there's problems with most industry. But it doesn't mean the act of eating meat in itself is immoral, that's stupid as hell. And if you don't want to, fine, if it makes you feel better that's fine too. But you don't have a leg to stand on if you're trying to argue that it's inherently more moral to be vegan. Because it's not. It's just the shortcut you choose to take because you're a bad person and you don't feel like going through the effort to not suck at life, because you aren't capable of not sucking at life.

It's the same as flat earthers, if you actually wanted to change people's minds, you would be nice about it and present yourself as a likeable person. @Acnologia no. Some of them are alright. If I'm eating dinner at a friend's house or something I wouldn't refuse a veggie burger, that would just be rude. I've had some that were pretty good. But it's not as good as a burger burger, let's not be ridiculous.

That's just an arbitrary line in the sand you've drawn. And that's fine, we all do that with our sense of morality. But that doesn't mean your line is in the right place and mine is wrong. Just means they're different lines for different reasons.

So my ability to give the benefit of the doubt is greatly diminished, I've only met a handful of vegans in my life that weren't bat shit insane cult members, and all of them were in real life, not the internet. @uglydolI it really is a self defeating ideology, if we were to actually reach a place in society where all forms of "exploitation" were abolished, or even brought to a minimum, then we wouldn't have the luxury of having vegans diets even available. We would essentially have to turn back the clock several hundred years to before industrialization, and good luck not eating any meat products when there's no whole foods markets or other vegan substitutes available.

Yea there's a grain of truth to veganism, but like any cult they go way over the top and soar into crazy town. But the "default" American diet definitely has way too much meat, and factory farming definitely has its problem. I think it's definitely a good idea just from a health point of view to try and shift the meat/not meat ratio further away from meat than most people do, and it's good from an ethical and financial point of view to try and buy local as much as you can.
