These people are as petty as my grandma, we used to always joke about her "it list" and "shit list" and she would decide that someone was on the shit list for the stupidest reasons you could ever imagine. But the only way to go from the shit list to the it list was to double cross or somehow go against someone else that was on the shit list, then she would go over the top about how wonderful that person was and how she can't believe how she ever didn't like them.
