  2. I really don't understand why it's so ridiculous. If you lived on some remote island in the 1600s and saw a ship full of white people, everyone else would probably think you're crazy, and it's a ridiculous idea. But it's obviously not very ridiculous at all.

I think the alien theory is so attractive and intriguing because it really does make sense, if we found a planet with intelligent life, and want to study it on the down low, livestock would probably be something we would be very interested in. And it would be pretty obvious to any other visiting species with intelligence, that cattle are not a naturally occurring species, at least not in their current domesticated form. Imagine what they would think if they saw an English bulldog, that's also an obvious example of genetic manipulation, only for no reason other than our amusement.
