And they'll say "but Trump, orange man bad, divisive and stuff!" But I don't recall Trump ever speaking about the American people that way. Politicians, sure, celebrities, hell yea, and he doesn't pull any punches when talking about leftist ideology. But he draws a clear distinction between the ideology and the people.

@strategery101 I remember Bill Burr on Joe Rogan's podcast, saying that he just goes with whatever the people on the TV tell him. And he said it in a way that you could tell he doesn't see any problem with that at all. And he's a pretty smart guy too, he's not an insane communist, he seems pretty level headed. That's how a very large portion of the population is, even if they're not necessarily stupid, they just aren't paying attention and have no interest in paying attention.

I immediately started thinking of a mini series about Dementia Hitler. He actually escaped the war, it was a doppleganger that died in that famous photo (which is actually a very conceivable conspiracy theory, that has some pretty compelling evidence to back itself up). So the series is set years later, at a nursing home in Argentina. And every day, Hitler wakes up and starts plotting his hostile takeover of the world....... And by supper time at 4 he forgets, gets cranky and yells at a nurse, wakes up the next day and starts the cycle over.

@MikeHunt10 oh yea, we've seen countless examples of the same kind of mass mind control at play today, except it's even more powerful with all the tools of technology the left has at their disposal now. The biggest singular example was covid, and how clearly divided everyone was. These people have done their homework, this is some high level psychological manipulation.

Dementia Hitler could actually make for a pretty hilarious movie, or even a series. It could pay credence to the theory that he didn't actually die at the end of WW2, and he eventually ends up at a nursing home in Argentina. And every day he wakes up and plots his plan to take over the world and ethnically cleanse...... Well by supper time at 4pm he forgot the rest of the plot. And the cycle continues the following day. It's just too bad we're living it in real life, it's not as funny as the concept.

@strategery101 that famous speech Reagan gave, where he was talking about how he likes to think a global crisis, like an alien invasion, would bring humanity together against a common threat. It was a nice sentiment. But nope. We would definitely not come together, we would separate into factions that have different ideas about why the aliens are here, and what they want. I'm pretty sure the current left would side with the aliens that are trying to destroy humanity, some kind of absurd mental gymnastics about "colonialism" or some shit like that.
