I don't think you understand what that quote means, many people think that freedom is more important than safety, as you can't really ever be completely safe, and freedom is often compromised in the name of perceived safety or security. It's foolish to compromise freedom for security, because you'll end up having neither, but you can have freedom.

Depends on what you mean by "help", will the mandate help with the spread of covid? No, of course not. Will it help authoritarians gain more control of their idiot masses? Of course, that's the point.

@Chris Smith which is lower than the overall percentage of white people in the country. And any effort to selectively treat hospital patients according to vaccine status would disproportionately effect minorities negatively. Sounds like the kind of thing the left is usually against. Sounds like you have to pick a lane.
