So take care of your own health. This is not a reason why we need more from the government, it's precisely why we should demand less from them and do more for ourselves. The government never helps you for free, they're not in that business. If it doesn't cost you out of your paycheck, it costs you in your liberty.

All of them. They wouldn't be coming here if they didn't get the free gibs. That's what blows my mind about the immigration crisis, everyone acts like there's nothing we can do about it, or that it would be too hard, or inhumane to do anything about it. All we have to do is cut off all government subsidies for non citizens. 90% of them would leave of their own volition, and the remaining illegals wouldn't really be a problem, if you're working and supporting yourself, whatever, not a huge deal. It's obviously not great, because they're undermining labor laws and working for cheaper than American citizens that pay taxes, but not paying taxes isn't as much of a problem as not paying taxes and also getting tax benefits.

@mE-zx7pt we already have universal healthcare, it's just not free. It can never be free. It can be cheap, but it can't be free, and if you want it to be cheap, you're going to have to sacrifice the quality or the availability. It is not possible to have healthcare that's cheap, universally accessible, and high quality. It just can't happen in a world that has finite resources. You have to pick 2. Right now, US healthcare is high quality and easily accessible, but it's not cheap. Democrats want to destroy it, so they can own even more of your personal life. They prey on stupid and immoral people like you.

@HawklordLI imagine how many people would be better off if we just got to keep more of our own money. And I'm not saying we should just burn every social program to the ground and abolish all taxes, but this shit has gotten way out of control. We should at least have options, you should get to choose how much you pay in and how much you get out. Insurance companies are able to monopolize because the government requires you to pay, we shouldn't be required to buy anything we don't want, that drives prices up by giving insurance companies a blank check. If we had the option to say no thanks, that's too much money, then they would have no choice but to lower their prices.

@cherylbrown-m4i we need to stop footing the bill for most of the world's medical research, that's a big part of why shit is so expensive in the US. It costs a fortune to fund all the research that goes into making new drugs and treatments, and then other countries rip that off and make cheap generic alternatives, sell it for pennies on the dollar.
