@James Neilson seriously, even if you're so stupid you actually agree with his views, he's just such a smug, unlikeable douche. Of course if you were stupid enough to agree with his views, you may not care about his character anyway. But I've often tried to picture someone who looks and talks like him, but is actually sensible and well informed. I still wouldn't like them just because of the attitude.

@dycedargselderbrother5353 yea but anyone who just says they have a disorder to sound more interesting can't really have all their ducks in a row to begin with. So it's a sort of self fulfilling prophecy, they may not have all the issues they claim to have, but they definitely have issues.

@collybeans586 I don't think Vaush is stupid, I just think he's a terrible person with reprehensible views. But he's also not as smart as he thinks he is, he has an inflated ego because A) he mostly hangs out and talks to other far leftists, a squirrel would feel smart in those circles, and B) anyone who's willing to be blatantly dishonest, consistently and relentlessly, is going to have an advantage in debates. So he thinks he "wins" debates, but it's not because he's smart, it's just that he's better at being a slimy weasel and saying whatever it takes to pat himself on the back and feel like he won.

@nima.d7147 conservatives are physically healthier too though, on average. The main driving factor seems to be that conservative ideals are attractive to people who value personal responsibility, and are more likely to get by fine on their own, or with a small group of close family and friends. Liberal ideals are more attractive to people who are lost and afraid, looking for a group to lean on.

@SAPEDLIFEWITHADOG it really seems like leftists are completely, or at least mostly incapable of thinking in abstract. That's why they're so easily manipulated by propaganda, they hear people saying capitalism is bad and take that to mean we should completely abolish capitalism. They can't think outside of what far leftists tell them to think and see that like any economic system, there are good aspects and bad aspects. And it's about finding a good balance, not just completely demolishing the whole thing because your life isn't working out the way you want it to.

@bonzocleach2496 you're accidentally proving me right, I never said that only leftists are incapable of thinking in abstract, I said that leftists aren't capable of thinking in abstract. That's doesn't mean that everyone else is capable of thinking in abstract. If you were capable of thinking in abstract, you would understand the difference.
