@talyahr3302 the ban included specific types of semiautomatic weapons, they just labeled it an "assault weapon ban" to manipulate people with tiny brains that don't know anything about guns and don't care to know.

The funny part is the main recognized distinction is between military style and hunting style rounds, and hunting rounds are far more dangerous because they're meant to kill, military style are meant to penetrate. So you're actually advocating to only have more lethal rounds available to the public.

@1S1S1S and if more people took as much personal responsibility as they could, then they would also build a stronger network of family and friends that would help them out when they need it. And they would also be more likely to help a friend or family member in need. The more we let the government step in between that natural societal process, the more people have a disconnected attitude towards people in their own community. And that's the whole point of all of it, they want us to be reliant on them and not our neighbors, because they don't get more power when we take care of ourselves and each other.

Technically, you do have to have a permit to have an organized protest. It's just not usually enforced, because the optics of shutting down an otherwise peaceful protest over a permit issue would be horrible.

@karelglasner2673 it varies from state to state, but the broadest explanation would be that you need to be 18 and pass a background check. There's a lot of grey area in between as far as what would disqualify you in a background check, and whether you can open carry or concealed carry and all that.

It's unbelievable how the same people who have been demonizing police and calling for defunding and even abolishment are also calling for more strict gun control. How does that work? So basically, only people who can afford private security are entitled to protection? And these are also the same people who scream "eat the rich!" It's the trifecta of stupid.
