@muslimmetalman that doesn't make someone an authoritarian, police and military would be considered moderate authoritarianism, since every single not insane person in the entire world understands that security to some degree is essential for any society on even a remotely large scale. Calling someone an authoritarian because they're pro police is as dishonest and delusional as calling someone a socialist because they believe in taxes.

@muslimmetalman doesn't matter what your personal opinion of authoritarianism is, I'm just stating the obvious. If he were pro police having expanded powers to an extreme degree, you may have a point, but he's not, Tucker is just pro police being a thing that exists. If anything he's much more libertarian when it comes to police and military than a typical conservative, he's spoken out against the endless middle east wars for years now.

@muslimmetalman as far as what I've seen he just wants police to do their job. Like not standing idly by while hundreds of riots break out across every major city in the country. That's not authoritarian, that's common sense. To say anything otherwise is anarchist.

@wtice4632 to be fair, the guy isn't saying that pro police is a right wing position, he's saying it's an authoritarian position. Which is still stupid, but let's be fair about how we present his stupid position.
