@tracieday8661 I've worked for a small business for 8 years, conservative owners. They're an older married couple, and their oldest daughter is kind of the co-manager. Funny part is I didn't even know they were conservative until after covid, and I wasn't surprised at all, I would have guessed they were if I were asked, but it just never came up in the previous 6 years I worked there, was none of my business and mine was none of theirs, work is just work.

@init100 I think one of the core differences between what's traditionally considered left and right is that leftists tend to be more collectivist, and right wingers more individualist. So as soon as a left wing movement starts to gain steam, most people on the left will abandon all of their principles in a heart beat and join the collective to gain power. It's why tech censorship was so targeted at conservatives in the beginning. Big tech doesn't give a shit about left or right. They care about power. But they did their homework and saw that leftists were more likely to support censorship of conservatives than conservatives were to support censorship of leftists. They just used the left for power. And now they're censoring leftists too. And we tried to warn them.

@Tony X yup, it's exactly the same as the religious wingnuts that insist atheism is a religion, and try to assign absurd positions to anyone who just simply says they don't believe in God. They can't accept that just having an absence of religion or theistic faith is a thing that exists, their mind can't handle it because they're so entrenched in their radicalism. And ironically, the same people who are entrenched in radical leftism also tend to be the radical anti-theists that make these conversations so annoying for normal, non insane atheists like myself. I get it from both angles, the religious wingnuts and the politically religious wingnuts.

@Tony X well the majority share more views with you and I than with the looney progressives, but they just don't care enough to say anything. And there's not much you and I can do without strength in numbers, the far left collectivizes and organizes. Normal people are more individualist.

But idiot democrat voters are the entire reason American politics is a shit show, if the only people voting were people who's head is on their shoulders and not 3 feet up their own ass, then politicians would be held accountable and we would actually get representatives that represent the people.

Depends on the subject matter, he very often manipulates the truth into a little ball that neatly fits into what he wants for certain policies like M4A. But when it comes to calling out the power hungry sea monsters that control our country, he's pretty spot on.
