Columbus Ohio? I'm sure it gets hotter there than some other Midwestern towns, but as a lifelong Houstonian, you understand I find this kinda laughable. Try triple digits with humidity off the charts for most of 5 months out of the year.

@GordyMiller I saw that too, freaking ridiculous. When I went to college I lived in a tiny ass apartment off campus with roommates, and my average dinner was Velveeta shells and cheese with off brand soda. And I'm not complaining, it was fine, it's not like I was starving to death. But I was poor, like college students normally are.

About the same time we decided drinking normal tap water was unacceptable and barbaric.

@GordyMiller like the one with the water park? Fuck yea they would, I guarantee the majority of those kids are there on massive loans, the rest of them probably got grants or scholarships. Not that many people go to universities out of pocket here.

@redwing1214 very rarely. It's not too uncommon to get a little bit of snow, probably once every 3 winters or so, but actual serious snow? Once every ten years or so. And even then it's typically just an unusual storm that only lasts a few days. And this is Houston, other parts like northern Texas, Dallas area and towards Oklahoma do get snow pretty regularly. But Houston winters are usually really mild, sometimes it never even gets below freezing.

DEZZNUTZ 1001 we have heaters. And we're not inside 24/7. Some people work and do stuff.
