@xdanbo1859 I think I've listened to Beck maybe twice? Three times max? Notice how you're not even making a point anymore, you're just attempting to attack my point of view. Because you know you're wrong. I'll go ahead and give another example, just look at the widespread sympathies and even support for communism and socialism on the left. Do you see that on the right? I hear the left screeching about fascism all the time, but even in right wing circles it's extremely rare to hear anyone say "yea fascism is pretty awesome. It's just never been tried right." On the other hand, it's extremely rare to hear anyone on the left say "socialism is bad, I do not like socialism". I bet you won't even say it now.

@xdanbo1859 that's the opposite of reality, for the last several decades nearly 100% of political gains have gone in favor of Democrats, the most Republicans can do is just slow them down, if they can even manage that. Democrats and the left have a complete stronghold of media, academia, and pop culture, to the extent that leftist Americans don't think there's even such thing as "too far left", everything they disagree with is right wing. The Overton window has shifted further left in America, in a shorter amount of time than arguably any other culture throughout recorded history.

@xdanbo1859 the right in 1990: abortion is wrong. The left in 1990: abortion isn't good, but sometimes is the best option. The right in 2020: abortion is wrong. The left in 2020: abortion is fine, there's no moral implications whatsoever. It should be legal until the moment of birth. Tell me who moved further on that position? And it's the same for practically every single political issue. If anything, conservatives have gone a little bit to the left over the last 20 years. The left has gone 6 million light years to the left.

@xdanbo1859 look around you bud, the US is a welfare state. We have some of the most atrocious metrics in wealth inequality and people living off of welfare in the developed world, that may not be what leftism sells itself as, but that's what leftism is in the real world. The US is just in the more advanced stages of leftism than most of the other countries leftists think are doing better, we took the hyper speed route to get there, because there are so many young leftists living here who are so stupid they don't even realize it's the policies they voted for that got us here.
