@ainnochaim9450 it got that way because of apathetic democrat voters that pay attention to politics for 15 minutes every 4 years, and because of the stronghold they have over media, academia, and pop culture, to where every idiot that wants free stuff votes for them. So naturally Republicans became useless because all they have to do is not be a democrat, and everyone with an IQ above 20 is going to vote for them. And we know they suck too, but doing nothing is better than actively destroying the country like democrats have been doing. Don't blame the politicians, that's just politicians doing politician stuff. If people are willing to give them power, they're going to take it. Left wing voters are the problem, they're the ones that have been willing to gradually vote our rights away for several decades under the guise of free stuff.

Now the leftists that have woken up are going to pretend like they were the "truth seekers" the whole time. And I'm glad more people are waking up, better late than never, but it's still going to be extremely annoying to see so many people claiming they never fell for any of it who are clearly lying, and part of the reason we've had to endure all this madness.

@sheepnoisebah Fox is biased, CNN and MSNBC and all the rest are fake news. I'm not saying Fox is always honest, all the time, but they don't fabricate completely fictional stories and run with them as though they're fact, like their competitors do. Most of the time they report on real news with a slant that favors Republicans. They still suck, but to pretend like they're the main problem with media is outstandingly delusional.

@TriforceDestroyer55 I think Trump did a good job. The near entirety of the reason he's so controversial is because of the most orchestrated and obsessive propaganda campaign in American history, maybe even world history, considering the scale, with how much tech has advanced. That's not to say he never put fuel on the fire, but most of the reasons people hate him so much are just because they were told to hate him.

@TriforceDestroyer55 lmao, I liked that about him, the establishment political machine is full is evil, psychotic monsters. And their media lap dogs. They deserved every ounce of the thorough verbal ass beating Trump handed out on a daily basis. Not the kind of guy I would want to hang out with on weekends, or date my daughter or sister. But the kind of guy we needed to correct course with our political situation, desperately and urgently. The people had a once in a lifetime opportunity to tell them we're not gonna take their shit anymore, and then hopefully move on with more normal politicians in the future. But no, we said nah govern me harder daddy, I like the bottom of your boot. (not me, or you, or any particular person, America as a whole)

@grinningchicken the US has some of the highest corporate taxes in the world, that's why so many manufacturing jobs are sent overseas. And again, taxing the working class isn't a "far right" economic policy, far right would be taxing everyone at a minimal rate, laissez faire capitalism or at least closer to it than progressive tax rates. I know "everything I don't like is far right" is a nice and easy, neat and tidy way of looking at the world that prevents you from ever having to think critically, but that doesn't mean it's correct.

@IAmTheRealBill exactly, this is the part that all the "but private platform" people refuse to acknowledge, sure, they're a private company, just like a newspaper. And if a newspaper publishes an article that's completely false and could harm someone's livelihood, they're held accountable for that in any civil suits that may come. It big tech companies want to police what's said on their sites, then they should take that burden on as well. Which would obviously be complete madness, twitter doesn't want to be responsible for some random user saying some random thing about another random user, but hey, tough shit, they gotta pick a lane.

@-solidsnake- that's horse shit, government only has the power the people give it, we could live in a free country with minimal government power, but people would have to take responsibility for their own lives and their own communities. And it's dangerous, and it's not easy, but that's the trade off you have to make if you don't want to live under the boot of authority, and that's exactly what the United States was supposed to be.

@kylesanders8276 I've maintained all through the election run up and the time since that one of the biggest reasons Biden won is people just didn't want to hear about Trump anymore. The left infected every aspect of everyday life with political messaging, there was a time where if you just didn't care about politics, you could go about most of your life without dealing with politics. But that all changed, it's everywhere, there are no more escapes. A lot of people just wanted to make it all go away, so they voted for Biden.

You shouldn't like or dislike everything about a politician, ever. You don't have to give that disclaimer, it's ok to just say you like Trump. The outrage mob isn't lurking in the bushes. Probably.

@gabegu5102 it kinda had to be Trump though, for all of his flaws. I can't think of another person that has enough power and notoriety to even be in a position to run for president, who's also willing to go against every powerful establishment in the world. Love him or hate him he's always said and done whatever he wants. I agree with your main point though that he could have been a stepping stone of sorts to another anti establishment candidate that's..... Maybe not such an asshole. Someone more likeable, who also has actual experience in government but isn't an establishment shill. But no, mean tweets, and orange man bad.

@TriforceDestroyer55 yea I get that, personally I don't give a shit about racially insensitive comments, but the president should hold off on that, I would prefer to have a president that's more likeable to people who do care about that kind of thing.
