@Nanobits I consider myself somewhere between conservative and libertarian, I'm not one of the hard-line "taxation is theft" libertarians, I think we should have some taxes, and that some things are best to be public funded, like first responders and schools. But damnit they keep making me shrink my list of things that should be funded by taxes.

@Demmie-nl2qh yea that's one of the areas they've made me rethink, but I still think there should be an option for education that's available for everyone. I don't generally agree with welfare, but I don't think kids should be punished because their parents suck, and I think basic education is valuable in equalizing opportunity, and allowing for more upward mobility. You're right that our public education is terrible, but I think we should just make it better, not completely dissolve it.

Dead internet theory is real, and it's not just the internet, it's in mainstream news and academia too. Compare how many looney tunes TDS sufferers you see online, to how many you know in real life.

This is what the "D" in "TDS" means, I'm seeing progs actually say that we shouldn't investigate misappropriation of tax funds, for no reason other than "the bad orange man said we should, and he's bad, and orange. And a man."

@bobkaiser8782 I've been wanting to have a ton of custom made T-shirts that say "They can't audit all of us" just to wear and keep in my trunk, and if anyone comments on it I'll give them one, or even a few for their friends. Start a movement!
