@WeWokeTheGiants yes, there are most certainly restrictions. Your right to protest does not include the right to violate other people's rights.

But it doesn't mean you have the right to protest any time, anywhere, any way you want. There are restrictions.
12
The majority of people who invoke "empathy" as an argument are really arguing for the opposite of that. It's gaslighting.

@WeWokeTheGiants that's neat, but if you block roadways or destroy property, you aren't protesting, you're breaking the law, and you should be arrested. Take it up with God from your cell, I'm sure Jesus will forgive you if you ask nicely.

@WeWokeTheGiants tell that to the families of people who die on the way to get emergency medical care, because a protest was blocking the ambulance.

@legendaryclarity I believe it was Sizzilini.

@chucklindenberg1093 they're just trying to invoke God because they don't really have an argument.

@jim6038 pretty much every protest we've seen in recent years was illegal in some way. Police usually let it slide if it's just a minor infraction, because the optics of arresting protesters are so bad, it's not worth the headache. But they're well within their right to arrest people protesting unlawfully.

@SixOneNiner23 why do you think the media promotes stories that lead to all these protests? You're their accidental foot soldiers, and you're here calling everyone else "boot lickers". You're doing exactly what the establishment wants you to do.

@chucklindenberg1093 back in the old days, protesters took getting arrested as a merit badge, it brought attention to their cause. I understand why someone might want to get a little aggressive during a protest, I rarely ever agree with it, but if you decide to get out of line, you should expect to be arrested. It's not like they're getting locked up for life, they're usually released pretty quickly and have a story to tell to all their revolutionary buddies.

@jim6038 it's hilarious how they see themselves as "revolutionaries", when they're doing exactly what the establishment wants them to do. You don't get to call yourself a revolutionary when pretty much all the media coverage is sympathetic towards your cause, and trying to demonize and smear everyone that's against you.

@yomamasofat77 blocking roadways is a violation of people's right to free movement. Destroying businesses is a violation of property rights. Interrupting college courses is a violation of the right to an education. Nearly every left wing protest in the last 10 years has been a violation on the rights of citizens.
