That's why a capitalist system leaves the government out and let's the people determine the market. We do not live in a capitalist system, and haven't for a long time.

@infinite2679 there's never been an absolute socialist or capitalist system on a large scale, every economy is mixed. But we're a lot further from capitalism now than we ever have been.

@infinite2679 all of the things you just mentioned are examples of the government having too much authority within the market. In other words, not capitalism. It never fails. The people screeching about capitalism bad are actually complaining about the policies they support and vote for. You did this.

@Punxish capitalism just says you can keep what you earn, socialism says you're entitled to other people's wealth and resources if they have more than you. Which one seems greedy?

@infinite2679 it really is that simple though, a capitalist economy has less government involvement than a socialist economy. That's what the definition of the words mean. You aren't fooling anyone here, everyone knows you're lying, you know you're lying, and you know we know you're lying. So why are you still lying?

How about actually practicing capitalism, instead of the government having their hands in every corner of the market. Try that for a little bit, if it doesn't work then you can complain about capitalism.

@StinkCabbage if we had anything remotely resembling capitalism, businesses would have been allowed to remain open during the pandemic, only closing if they choose to.

@infinite2679 the government expanded due to socialist policies. In other words, NOT CAPITALISM. This is really not a difficult concept. Everyone understands this other than the small minority of people who are so stupid they think socialism is a good idea.
