I don't think you should take anything Aaron Mate says about foreign affairs as gospel, he's so obsessed with his "America bad!" mindset, it's impossible for him to have any kind of objectivity, he'll bend and distort anything he needs to so he can make sure everyone knows America is the bad guy.

@davidcobble2050 but you have to understand there's propaganda coming from multiple different angles here. And Jimmy and especially Aaron are so compromised by how much they hate the US, they're going to automatically take the side of whatever propaganda makes the US look the worst. I'm not saying MSM has it right either, I'm just saying Jimmy and Aaron are just as biased, just in a different direction.

@phineartz honestly I don't know what to think, it sounds like it's a situation where a bad guy is fighting another bad guy, and everyone is trying to jump on one side because we're so used to bad guys fighting good guys. It's kind of like WW2, you have a lot of people on the right now that will say things like "we conquered the wrong enemy", to suggest that the Soviets were the real villains, and honestly that's not completely wrong, they killed more people than the Nazis did, but at the same time that doesn't automatically make the Nazis the good guys by default. It's a tough situation, I think the best thing to do is just take it all with a dose of humility and realize none of us really know the full truth, and we're getting bombarded by propaganda from all over the place.

@davidcobble2050 maybe they're just waving a shiny object in front of our faces to get us all screaming at each other on the internet, so we don't pay attention to what they're doing in our own country.

@boxcutter0 I don't know about that, I think Mate is just so obsessively up his own ass with his "America bad, America always bad" rhetoric that he's completely incapable of any kind of objective analysis of any foreign affairs. All he can think of is "ok, what can I say that makes America look as bad as possible? Alright, I'm on those guys side."
