You guys should cruise on over to other leftist channels, a very large portion of the left is in complete lock step with the media and political establishment and want to silence all dissent with force.

I know the Dore audience is a lot different than most other leftist content, but it's still hard for me to have a lot of sympathy for leftists being upset about censorship now, I'm aware that not every leftist supported it in the past, but damn near every leftist supported it in the past. If you're standing up against it now, I guess it's better late than never, but I hope all of you never forget that it was your tribe that started this, and hopefully you learn from it in the future.

@JohnG16 no, these waters are pretty clear, the left is for censorship, the right is against it. It doesn't get a lot more clear when it comes to these things. Not every single person left of center, but it's enough of the left that it's become such a big problem. This wouldn't be a problem at all right now if the left had stood on principle, even half of the left, and been against censorship even if it's people they don't like. But you didn't, you couldn't, you thought it was an easy "win" for you. You just couldn't resist, you thought you could have all the institutional power on your side. And we tried to warn you. You didn't listen.

@danbauer3669 there's no book bans in Texas, numbnuts, they just took some books out of school curriculum. Calling that a ban is like saying an essay I wrote in middle school is banned because it's not taught as curriculum across the entire state. Stop getting your news from left wing propaganda.

@inthefade conservatives were never that bad, don't listen to any of the nonsense leftists will try to tell you now. Back in the 80s and 90s there was a lot of moral panic by the more hardline religious right, but even then they were mostly just trying to keep explicit or violent material for kids, the majority of conservatives weren't trying to say people don't have the right to put out explicitly material at all. What we're seeing now with the modern left is far worse than any of that.
