@kirkha100 you didn't really think conservatives were all racists and xenophobes and all the other nonsense that was used to smear them, did you? Nobody actually believed that. It was just a tool to discredit people with different ideas, and you all fell into the trap, leftists, liberals, and everyone in between. If any leftists actually stood on principles, you would have supported Trump, at least in some capacity, even if you didn't like all of his policies or his attitude, at least he wasn't an establishment, career politician. Isn't that what the left wants? It was a good start, maybe we could have had someone next time who's also not part of the establishment but does reflect on your positions a little more.

@kirkha100 you're all so obsessed with labels and gatekeeping, "that's not real leftism!", to anyone who disagrees with you even slightly, that the entirety of the left has been infected with authoritarianism, and every single one of you is equally responsible and to blame for it. Because you all let it walk right through the front door because you were more concerned with making sure people knew you were on "the good side of the left" than actually standing up for what's right. Now the entirety of the left AND the right, and people who don't even care about politics are sitting in a giant toilet, because of you.

@kirkha100 and I understand where leftist ideals come from too, it's not that conservatives are against the idea of people helping people, they just think the government sucks at it, and just dumping money into government programs doesn't usually actually solve any of the problems it claims to be trying to solve. If someone loses their job, a government subsidy will help them right now, but that's not a long term solution, a long term solution that really helps people is them having the tools to stand on their own 2 feet and help themselves. That's the core reason we're in this shitty political position in the first place, the American people have given too much power to the government, not ever all at once, a little bit at a time, and it always goes in one direction, we never gain any power back, we only give it away. It's gotten to the point where a lot of leftists think they shouldn't have to work at all, and that they should just have all the money and resources they want just because they want it. That's completely insane. And no amount of money or resources will ever make those people happy, because that's not what they lack, what they lack is a purpose. Which is also why those kinds of people are so vulnerable to political extremism, it's something that gives them purpose, but it's not a constructive purpose at all. It's destructive.

@ohsweetmystery only if you live on the internet, most Americans are normal people with their brain right side up and facing forward. The online leftists represent a much smaller portion of the population than their internet screeching would suggest.

@GünniB that's because liberals and leftists are all liars, and are constantly trying to cast blame onto the other faction. They act exactly the same as each other on purpose, so each faction can claim innocence. It's not that conservatives don't know the difference, it's that leftists and liberals are dishonest and immoral.

@GünniB yea, he didn't do a very good job when it comes to the people he surrounded himself with. But cutting taxes for working Americans was definitely not "governing like an establishment republican", neither was pulling back on foreign wars, or calling out corporate media for their lies. He was the closest thing we were going to get to a president that goes against the establishment, and he could have opened the door to more Americans waking up to the fact that we don't have to elect career politicians. But the so called "anti establishment" left all mobilized and took marching orders from the establishment, and you're still parroting their talking points, word for word.

What the fucking crap are you talking about, "normalization of Nazism"? Ask 100 people on the streets what they think of Nazis, 100 of them will tell you Nazis suck. Now ask the same people what they think about communism, then you'll get some mixed responses. Tell me which one of those sounds more "normalized" to you? Hell why don't you tell me what you think of communism.
