I wish we could just bury the term "hate crime", why does that even matter? Is it somehow worse to kill people because they're gay than if the same people were killed just because the shooter is a deranged nutbag? To me it really doesn't matter. The only time motivation should have an impact on the severity of the crime is if it's self defense or something tangential. I don't care if you commit a crime because of hate, greed, desperation, or just plain stupidity, a crime is a crime.

@YouTubeCensors if my little boy told me he's actually a little girl, I would take it as seriously as if he told me he's a zebra, or an astronaut.

@Gretchen K. I know what it is, I'm saying that it's nonsensical. "I swear your honor, I didn't shoot him because he's black, I did it because I was in a bad mood!" Does that really make it any better? It's ridiculous.

Same with election denial and inciting violence.

@larrote6467 how do you prove that though? It's pretty hard to know someone's motivations without reading their mind, and criminals aren't exactly the most reliable source if we're trying to take them at face value when it comes to their own motivations. Sure, there are some cases where we can know the motivation within a degree of reasonable doubt. But not that often. Seems like it would make more sense to just track the hard numbers of how many people from specific demographics are killed, knowing that this doesn't necessarily mean they were killed because of that characteristic. But at least there would be less speculation in the numbers.

@brianwesley28 exactly, and even if it's something random like a home invasion, don't really care, someone was still killed. That doesn't make it any better than if they were killed because the killer hates them, or hates a group they belong to.

Maybe if you eat enough turkey you can have some kind of near-coma reset, and forget the last several years of madness, come back to the front lines feeling refreshed.

The same way they dismiss black conservatives as "uncle Tom".

Wait until all of the kids that were convinced they were trans grow up and realize they're not trans at all, that they were just typical confused kids who were manipulated by their psychotic parents and teachers. They're gonna be...... A little bit steamed, to put it lightly.

@strategery101 someone should edit a rap song with Fetterman saying nonsense instead of the original "lyrics". That would be hilarious, and possibly actually a better song than the original.
3
@larrote6467 which brings us back around to the inevitable conclusion, that hate crime designations are complete nonsense. Just because someone of a certain group was killed doesn't mean they were killed because of being in that group, and any attempt to track such data is inherently going to be based on speculation. The only reason the designation ever existed in the first place is for people to use it as fuel for their political agenda.

@j-me6317 lmao, ah yes, the love shooters. How could I forget them? Just like the love rapists, love thiefs, and love arsonists🤣

Hey remember when conservatives kept saying all these stupid language rules would come around to bite the left in the ass? Yea, I remember.

And of course this is what the left is gonna run with, because the shooters ideology doesn't fit into the box they want to place it in. So now they're gonna pretend like it's all the father's fault, although they're definitely not willing to apply that same standard across the board to all violent attacks.

@frogfan583 this is the culmination of a decades long, coordinated and sophisticated subversion strategy. You can't just tell normal parents and teachers to put these ridiculous ideas in kids' heads, the adults have to be indoctrinated as kids before you can get them to indoctrinate the next generation.

They're trying to put it out into the narrative that he only started saying he's nonbinary as some kind of defense in the trial. Which is still ridiculous, since the whole thing they've been pushing all these years is that we have to accept people's self proclaimed identities at face value, no questions asked.

Well there's a formula - if it's all over every front page with a bunch of hyperbolic fear mongering about white nationalism, it was probably someone at least right wing adjacent. If they're speculating about it being a right winger but just give vague details, it wasn't a right winger, but they can at least make it seem that way long enough to get the narrative out there before more facts come to light, and the idiots will all stick with the false narrative instead of the truth. As for all the rest..... They just don't talk about it. You can tell a lot about these incidents based on what they don't say. When they weren't screeching at the top of their lungs about it being a white Trump supporter, I immediately knew it was going to be inconvenient for their narrative. And they knew that right away too, they just lied.
