I had a hardcore lefty ex coworker, I typically just left it alone when she would go on her little rants because I'm not going to get into a subjective political argument at work, but when she stated "facts" that are just objectively wrong, I couldn't just let it slide. And one day she stated that "all the mass shooters are white right wingers", so I pulled up the actual statistics and showed her that it's actually a disproportionately high amount of black shooters. Her reaction was to get angry at me. That's how indoctrinated these people are by the media manipulation, even when faced with cold, hard facts, they cannot accept that. They just go into a blind rage.

My fiancee and I are having a baby on Friday, during our process of regular check ups, and ultrasounds, and tests, and all that other fun pregnancy stuff, we've had numerous nurses and other "health care professionals" casually ask us if we're keeping the baby. Neither of us have voiced interest or even remotely suggested that we were considering abortion, we've been nothing but happy and optimistic throughout the whole pregnancy, so I have to assume this kind of push is just standard practice in modern healthcare, and it's gross, and unacceptable. And we live in Texas, abortion isn't even legal here. One of the younger nurses we spoke to early in the pregnancy started trying to tell us about other options we could look into about travelling out of state, even after we told her we were keeping the baby, after that she ignored me and started deliberately addressing my fiancee only, making sure to face her body away from me, as though I was holding my fiancee hostage or something.

  6. My favorite mostly accurate racial stereotype is that black people are scared of dogs. I've worked in a kennel for 10 years, we've only had a few black employees during that time, and only a handful of our regular customers are black. I'll actually joke about it with the rare black employees, they all laugh their ass off because it's true, they'll tell me how their whole family is terrified of dogs, and think they're crazy for working with dogs.

A regular person can observe reality and make a descriptive statement about it, a leftist cannot separate what actually exists from what they want to exist. So when you say "this thing is a thing that exists", a leftist automatically assumes that you like it that way and you're the cause of it being that way.

We're the last generation to experience life before the internet was everywhere. I know the internet has existed a lot longer than 20 years, but it wasn't really a common household thing until the early 2000s.

This is kind of a double edged sword, because "hey stupid, don't have kids until you're ready, stupid" is generally a good message to send to young people, but we obviously turned the wheel too far in the other direction to where people aren't having kids at all. Also being "ready" is a pretty nebulous concept, it's definitely not a good idea to get pregnant in high school, but sometimes the best things that happen in our life happen when we don't feel like we're ready for them, sometimes you just have to jump into the deep end of the pool and get ready fast, out of necessity. If we waited until we felt like we were ready for everything, we would miss out on a lot.

It's so infuriating how you can tell with near certainty the loose details of a story based on what MSM doesn't say, the day this happened they were just giving vague details, and I saw that there was even video evidence, so clearly they knew more than they were saying. And the details that conjured in my head were almost 100% accurate to what we've learned in the days since. And this story will just go away, and nobody will talk about it the next time there's a new Corona variant. Which apparently is today. Conveniently.

  49. To me, the problem isn't politics being mixed in pop culture, it's that they've lost all sense of subtlety, and it just comes across as preachy. I always use the old Star Trek movies and series as an example, there were a lot of political themes in them, but they actually told a good story, because they posed difficult questions but didn't give you the answer, it was up to the audience to think about it. They presented both sides, where you could actually see the motivations of the Borg, and why they thought of themselves as "the good guys".
