We really are a pretty silly society when some of the richest people play children's games and pretend to be other people in front of a camera. Meanwhile the people who make our food, our buildings, protect the public, educate the public, and do all the other things we actually need for every day life are living modest lives, in many cases barely getting by.

@SebastianSkadisson you don't have to hold office to have political power.

And notice how she's not exactly an A-lister? She's definitely famous and well known. But I guarantee if she was more compliant to the propaganda machine, you would see her in more major roles.

@God__Emperor_ I never said they were all struggling, I said they're living a modest life, and some of them barely get by. In comparison to an actor who gets millions of dollars for reading lines on a paper, making 6 figures doing a skilled trade is pretty damn modest.

@polderrican true, plus she's not really "Hollywood" attractive, she's normal person attractive. Which a lot of people actually like more, but I guess Hollywood hasn't caught on to that yet.

@polderrican plus Anna Kendrick can sing, not that I give a shit about that, but a lot of people do. Opens a lot of doors in Hollywood.

@donnagelina8548 yea I hear what you're saying, it's not that I hate celebrities, I hate that an actor can talk about politics and it actually sways people's opinions. And they can talk about politics if they want, but I don't really give a shit what Brad Pitt thinks about taxes or foreign policy, I give a shit about what movie he's in next and if it's actually good. The idolization is what's so weird to me, there was a time not so long ago where pretty much everyone knew that actors are crazy people, and we would say "you hear what Jane Fonda said about Vietnam? What a loon. I'll still probably go see her next movie though."

Oh shit, I think I was thinking of Buddha. Eh, whatever.

@umiluv lmao, I think you missed my sarcasm, that was my fault. I meant that the money chasers seem to think they'll eventually have everything they want, if they just get a liiiiiiittle more money.

Zoolander nailed it. It was more about models specifically, rather than celebrities in general, but I think the point still stands. They're the perfect propaganda puppets, because they're good looking, and people like them, and they're too stupid to make any moral judgements or really know what they're saying. Just give them the script 🤣

@polderrican nah I think Isla Fischer got replaced by Anna Kendrick🤣🤣🤣 they're both sexy little redheads but Anna Kendrick is just a litttttttle bit sexier.

Same with politicians, it blows my mind how many leftists hate Trump because he's "immoral". Apparently they live in a dimension where there's such a thing as a moral politician. They're too stupid to understand that career politicians have spent their career trying to appear to be a good person, because they're politicians. Trump was a private entrepreneur for almost all of his live, he didn't give a shit about covering his tracks the same way a Biden or a Clinton does.

@Whocaresanymore970 hey man, you strap yourself to a tree and fast for 3 months or whatever it allegedly was, and we'll see how strong you are🤣

Lmao, that's because Scientology is a very closed cult. They're not into recruiting, because they don't want YOU. They only want wealthy elites that can pay all the fees to get closer to Alien God.

@Greeley yea I get that, I'm not one of those dummy socialists that thinks money should just be distributed the way I want it to (in my pocket of course), I understand the concepts of scale, and demand. A lot of people can build a building, but only one, or possibly a few people can play the same role as Samuel L. Jackson, and only one person can hit like Aaron Judge. So they're a lot harder to replace than an architect or a welder or whatever else. I get all that. I'm only saying that the amount that some of them make is way out of proportion to what the things they produce actually cost, and what their value would be if society didn't put such a high value on it. And that's all due to the abundant wealth that was created with capitalist societies, so it's not the worst problem you could have, at least we have the luxury of having luxuries. That's a good thing. But come on man. You wouldn't have to spend at least $100 at the ballpark if they weren't paying the pitcher millions of dollars a year.

Money can buy morality. They'll get back to you when they figure out how much it costs.
