  1. People really tend to conflate libertarianism with anarchism, either as an intentional straw man to make libertarians seem silly, or a genuine lack of understanding. Libertarians don't think government bad, government always bad, they think government usually bad, keeping them out will naturally cause more personal responsibility, and keeping their power at a minimum is good for everyone.
