@CoolPapaJMagik I disagree, I think merit is more important that artificially propping up or suppressing a particular group. And that would certainly lead to an "over representation" of white people in positions of power, but that's fine, just focus on merit and let the chips fall where they fall. And if non white people make it to these positions, that means they earned it. I'm fine with that.

 @CoolPapaJMagik I get what you're saying, but I don't think it's exclusive to 1 ethnic group of people, it's just the idea of meritocracy, which we've gone so far away from.

@CoolPapaJMagik it's gotten them nowhere, because they're not electing based on merit, they're electing based on checking diversity boxes.
