@masterofsnatch1645 I think the issue when it comes to the US is that the entire left side of politics thinks the government "caring" about the people means giving them free stuff. Which everyone with half a brain knows translates into more power for the government and maybe a little bit of free stuff for the people if you're lucky, just enough free stuff to keep the votes coming.

And honestly I don't care that they don't care, what I have a problem with is the left expecting them to care and consistently voting away all of our rights because they think it's someone else's responsibility to care about them.

I think most moderates and conservatives have always know the ruling class doesn't care about us, that's a given. Seems to only be the left that wants to outsource "caring" about them to someone else, because that's kind of their thing, they want someone else to do everything, including looking after their own well being. If you don't even think it's your responsibility to care for yourself, I really can't imagine a single thing that you could possibly think should be your personal responsibility.
