They either accidentally make the antagonist more relatable and likeable than the protagonist, like in all the STRONG FEMALE LEAD!!!!! movies, or they make the antagonist's story and motivations so surface level that it's not an interesting story. The art of the antagonist is totally lost on most modern filmmakers, a good antagonist has a rational motivation, but they're still the bad guy, you can understand why they are the way they are, but the good guy is still the good guy.

  4. The best movie I've seen in the last few years is Big George Foreman, I'm actually surprised that conservative commentators haven't taken notice of it. It doesn't fall into the leftist narrative at all, despite having ample opportunity to, and even if you don't care about sports or boxing, it's still a great film. It's about redemption and finding yourself, finding God. And if you know anything about Foreman's career, you know it has an insane ending, it's all real.
