I remember being younger, and learning about how the ancient Greeks and Romans among other cultures of the time believed that noncery was fine, and among the elite ruling class they even thought of it as a way to maintain youth and power. And I thought damn, people were gross back then, thank God we don't do that anymore. How naive I was, to think that ever stopped happening.

@James-sk4db I've noticed that this is a method communists use to pull people closer to their side, without even realizing it. They start with a completely absurd position, like men can be women, women can be men, and everyone can be a crocodile, and moderate people who try to see both sides will say something like "eh, probably not, but I suppose that may be true sometimes", and think that's the centrist position. When really the centrist, sensible position is "no, you're insane, boys are boys and girls are girls, and you can't be a crocodile." But according to them, that's "far right extremism."

I couldn't believe the leftists who were trying to dismiss it by saying it's "raising awareness". If you need a movie to tell you that sexualizing kids isn't ok, then you're beyond anything that a movie can help.

@FractalPrism. or made it animated, so actual kids weren't put in those situations. Whether it's for a movie or not, it's still wrong. Or they could have just not made it. It's preaching to the already converted, except it goes both ways. Most people already know that stuff is gross, and don't need a movie to show them that it's gross. And people who are into that kind of gross shit aren't going to view it the same way normal people do.

@kri249 I don't need to eat cat shit to know I don't like eating cat shit. And as I've stated, very clearly, more than once, nobody who actually needs to be shown that child exploitation is bad is going to have their mind changed by a movie.
