  3. Nobody should "allow" another candidate to run, the best candidates should run, and let the best man win. But I do see an argument for DeSantis waiting until 2028, mostly from a strategic standpoint, depending on what happens in the next year, beating Trump might be a tall order. Plus he's still in a very good political position as Florida governor, it's not like there's any real hurry to run for President, from his point of view.
