@bakerboat4572 a lot of the time, yes. The problem is that the problem is very complicated, which is prime territory for leftist exploitation. There are a lot of mental illnesses that really do need medication, there's a difference between a chemical imbalance and a situational or environmental imbalance. Some people are depressed because they aren't quite wired right, those people need medication, but other people are depressed because their life sucks, or a certain situation or situations suck. Those people need time, therapy, or just to fix the shit that's wrong, any number of things. And sometimes it can be both. But we just throw a bunch of drugs at every problem and hope something sticks. Sorta. The people throwing the drugs really just hope they get paid, they don't really give a shit about what happens to the patient.

@umiluv being "anti war" or "pro war" are both nonsense positions, because it depends on the situation. But the US hasn't had a justified situation to be at war in a very long time. Anti Vietnam, or pro WW2, etc etc are logical positions, but it's not something you should be 100% for or against. I'm 90% against war, and I'm against every foreign war that the US has been involved in since WW2. Hell, I may have been against that too at the time, if I had been alive. There's no telling what we know about it now that's real and what was just propaganda. We see the effects of that in real time with more recent wars.
