  3. People hate cyclists for similar reasons they hate vegans, and chiropractors. It's not what they do, it's that they never shut up about it. Ride your bike, eat your soy, adjust spines, nobody cares, but when you act like you're special, and better than everyone else, it just makes us laugh at you and want to see you fail.
