@trevoravery9270 same reason a perceived alien threat would allegedly unite humanity. Doesn't matter how legitimate the threat is, if people perceive it as a threat, then for the purposes of "uniting humanity", it's a legitimate threat, and we've already seen how people react. It's a myth. We don't unite under collective threat. We fight each other even more.
