I won't go to the hospital unless I'm dying, or something is falling off. It used to just be young hubris, I thought I was being a "tough guy" by just shaking off pretty nasty injuries and illnesses, eventually people began to view it as me being a little paranoid. I am now vindicated! Bow before me lowly normies!!!

My girlfriend is 12 weeks pregnant, she used to have much different views about abortion and thought it was totally fine. We're a little older, I'm 38, she's 39, I think a lot due to talking to me about political issues she's changed her views quite a bit, and abortion was never even an option, even though the whole thing is a bit unexpected and overwhelming at times. We're gonna be fine. It's quite repulsive that every one of her female "friends", coworkers, acquaintances asked her is she's "keeping it", it was typically the first question they asked. Interestingly, men, not so much. What a disgusting society we live in, you would think women should be the most appalled by abortion, their natural instinct is to care for and nurture young humans, men would have more of a tendency to be indifferent towards babies that have nothing to do directly with their lives. Men in our society are more compassionate towards babies. The communist mind virus truly is a monster.

I'm so tired of their "denying someone's existence" shtick, if someone says they're a firetruck, and I say no you're not, you're a person, I'm not saying they don't exist, I'm only (correctly) saying that they exist as a person, not a firetruck.

@robmorris4056 yea he paints with a pretty broad brush there. But I think he's just conflating anti theist communist douche bags with normal atheists, if he sat down with some more libertarian atheist types, even conservative atheists, he may change his views on it a little. I think he sees all atheists as actively against religion, when a lot of us are fine with religion, just don't agree.

@droyal18able I think they're saying that someone who's been carrying a baby for 6 months and suddenly decides to have an abortion is probably not of sound mind and making rational decisions.

Immigration isn't a racial issue, it's a legal, financial, and moral issue. And you can say that drug abuse is destructive and immoral and still not support authoritarian laws prohibiting drug use, those are completely separate issues. I don't think people should put ketchup on hot dogs, that's disgusting. But I don't want it to be illegal. I just want them to do that unholy shit somewhere else.

All of their arguments are so complicated and require multiple levels of leaps in logic. The pro life side is simple - abortion is murder, murder is wrong. Simple as.
