@RoberttAvro even aside from the actual facts and evidence of the trial, BLM threatening jurors should have been enough to throw the case out.

They're drawing a tribal line. If they picked martyrs from incidences that were more hazy, and had wrongdoing on both sides, that would be garnering support from a more wide net, would be harder to tell the difference between "true believers" and people who just have a little racial guilt and probably aren't very politically engaged. They have to pick incidences that are extremely clearly defined, where their martyr is a demonstrably awful person who was completely in the wrong, so the only people who could possibly be on their side are fully indoctrinated and loyal to the cause.

Seriously, by that logic you could just open fire on anyone you feel like and then turn your back and yell "don't shoot!" and you would be the victim.

It's not that they truly believe it, it's that they've completely committed to this vision of a utopia where they never have to work again, and they can get free money just for existing and sit around eating Cheetos and playing Xbox all day. They just have to believe hard enough.

@aaronwishard7093 yea Jussie is obviously the big bad in the story, the brothers are hardly saints, to have even engaged in this to begin with, but at least they have some kind of conscience to come forward later.
