I admittedly know very little about British politics, or global politics outside of the US besides the stuff that's directly related to the US. US politics is exhausting to keep up with in and of itself, I would prefer to still be interested in other things. But I had a great laugh when Boris first got elected, everyone was calling him "the British Trump" and stuff like that, and he definitely seemed the part. Then as I've heard more about him I started to realize oh...... He's a leftist wearing a conservative skin suit. Ok.

@Longshanks1690 that's one way of looking at it, but all politicians want more power, whether they're left, right, or anywhere in between. That's why they're politicians. And it's pretty clear to anyone with more than 7 brain cells, the left is the way to get more government power. Because they're idiots that think they're fighting the establishment by accidentally supporting and assisting the establishment. So as a "right wing" politician, all you have to do is not be as crazy as the left wing politicians. That's why we don't see conservatives in the US fight as viciously as the liberals do, it's beneficial to all of them personally for the far left populace to get more of what they want.
