I was talking to a coworker about how fucked up China is the other day, and she told me about how her friend went to Tokyo recently and said it was actually pretty nice. That's the state of our public education, I just stared at her for a minute like "you gonna think about what you just said" and I could immediately tell she knew she said something stupid. She says "Tokyo is in China, right"? No. No it is not.

I've actually seen data showing that the past few hundred years have been a period of unusual stability with the global climate. Obviously it always changes, ebbs and flows, they're typically very slow and gradual, but there are also times of very rapid and dramatic changes. None of those have happened for several thousand years. There's no way to really definitively know how much is impacted by human intervention, I think it's fair to say we at least have some impact, but it can't really be quantified unless we find a planet identical to earth, but without industrialization. We have a variable but no control, and the "trust the science" cultists don't seem to understand that this isn't sound science. The only thing you can conclude with only a control, or only a variable, is that a change occured. You cannot conclude causation that way.

I use a different plastic straw for every sip of beer I take, and instead of throwing away all my plastics I just toss them in a pile in the back yard, light that shit up in a climate change bonfire every Thursday.

I've seen leftists unironically shrug off the obvious hypocrisy of climate activists by saying they're "raising awareness". Which is like saying I can be a serial killer but speak out about how killing people is bad. Words speak louder than actions, as long as you're on their team.

We can always go underground and become mole people. I've already been conditioning myself by living in my basement with all the lights out for the last 6 months, I can see with my fingers now. So ummmm..... Pretty committed to the mole people thing. Anyone else? Anyone?

The left has done a really good job of creating a false dichotomy when it comes to climate change, you either march in lock step with every one of their insane demands that usually have nothing to do with the climate, or you don't believe climate change exists at all, and you're a science denying conspiracy theorist.
