  2. THAT is actual projection. I'm so tired of people misunderstanding that term, the left has hijacked that to mean "no, you", what they're referring to is actually transference, accusing someone of doing what you're doing. Projection is slightly different, it's assuming someone's motivation because of what your motivation would be.

It makes me think of that movie "Role Models" from about 10 years ago, there was a black kid that would get caught red handed doing stuff and when someone called him out he would accuse them of being racist and only accusing him because he's black. That was a joke 10 years ago, because it was so completely absurd. Now people are actually unironically using that same excuse.
