@nicholastaylor9687 I couldn't agree more, it's very irritating how a lot of people on the right have co-opted the term "grifter" from the left. And you're right, it's damn near impossible to prove, and even if someone is a grifter, so what? Doesn't really change the substance of what they're saying either way, it's just a way to discredit someone without actually discrediting anything they said.

@GodStink I had to do a college project in the early 2000s, I don't even remember what it was about because my accidental takeaway was so mind blowing, but it required me watching a whole lot of different news channels. And I started to see both the consistencies and inconsistencies, how the story didn't add up but they were all saying the same lies, like it was directly from a script. Because it was. I've never looked at media the same sense. So when Trump called it out during his campaign, that was what won me over.

I was talking to a coworker the other day and criticizing the way she does some of our work, because she doesn't attach the paperwork to the items the way the rest of us do, so if we have to do something else we can pick up where we left off without having to remember it, and I told her she can easily forget a lot of shit or sort it out wrong that way, and there's a reason we attach the labels to it. And she just says "oh, it's ok, I don't ever forget". Dumbass. I tried to explain to her, of course you don't think you forget anything, because if you knew you forgot it, you wouldn't forget it. She just couldn't comprehend that concept. That's how these "journalists" are, they always think they're right, because they don't ever listen to anyone else's point of view.

@martist911wasits-not-real4 of course that's possible, neither of us can possibly know that with any certainty. But if it is true, then we're basically all fucked anyway and there's nothing we can do about it. So there's no point even complaining about it, it's just the way the world is. And there's also a possibility that he's on the "inside" because of his connections but he isn't quite like all of them, not every single person who knows what goes on behind closed doors is evil like those people, there are surely people who know it's all horrible and don't want any part of it. Again, I can't know that for sure when it comes to Trump, but you don't either, difference between you and me is that I understand what I don't know and don't assert my opinion as absolute fact.

Yea you've got to be an extra special kind of special to actually believe the bullshit the so called authoritative sources spew. I possibly could have given them a pass several years ago, when "fake news" was just starting to make it's way into mainstream consciousness (it's been on my radar for several decades, but I pay more attention than most normies), but at this point there's no excuses. They've been caught lying so many damn times, anyone who still believes them is just willfully ignorant.

We fact checked ourselves and found no fake news! Except these 23 times that we're only admitting to because we got caught, but nevermind that! Those were the only times! Just trust me bro!
