It's the double edged sword of being liberty minded, it means that people have the liberty to have terrible ideas and use dishonest means to push those ideas. Having integrity is weakness, in a land where most people lack integrity.

@geomancer6894 I know, I hate it, because I hate all forms of authoritarianism. But you start to see where Nazism and Fascism come from, it's really the only way to fight back against communism. That's really no better than them. I don't want some Frankenstein's monster of right wing authoritarianism that implements left wing psychosis, damnit man I just want people to chill the fuck out and respect people with different beliefs from them. The left just won't let society have nice things.

I was at a bar one time at an open mic night, and there was this dude with a mixer doing a one man band thing, where he looped himself singing and playing different things on the keyboard. It was actually really awesome, and he had this outrageously weird body language and mannerisms, he was going over the top to be as goofy and stupid as possible. I laughed my ass off, he was a really cool dude. His whole shtick was "look at what a pathetic loser I am", which was ironic because he was actually incredibly talented and does pretty well just going around small bars and making money off tips and shit, because he's awesome. But he would have fit in seamlessly with these weirdos, and he was weird and pathetic on purpose.
