I had a hardcore lefty ex coworker, I typically just left it alone when she would go on her little rants because I'm not going to get into a subjective political argument at work, but when she stated "facts" that are just objectively wrong, I couldn't just let it slide. And one day she stated that "all the mass shooters are white right wingers", so I pulled up the actual statistics and showed her that it's actually a disproportionately high amount of black shooters. Her reaction was to get angry at me. That's how indoctrinated these people are by the media manipulation, even when faced with cold, hard facts, they cannot accept that. They just go into a blind rage.

@vorpalinferno9711 I think we should convince them that veganism is actually a right wing position. Haven't come up with the mental gymnastics to justify it, I just really want vegans to shut up. Maybe we can convince them Trump is a vegan.

@D00dman we actually got along fine, as long as we didn't talk about politics. She's a sweet girl, just had a lot of issues, she's gay, blames the world for all her problems, been on Adderall since she was a kid. I think prescription drugs have a very strong link to all the mental health and political extremism problems we have in the US.

@hideousruin fuck that, I've worked here for 9 years, I practically run the place. It's a small business, less than 30 employees at any given time. I would have to do something horrendously fucked up to get fired.

@Bopperann don't forget the fact that half of the kids in the country are on some kind of prescription meds. That's probably a huge factor, the biggest single factor along with single mothers raising kids.

@MegaSpideyman the sad part is if even one person makes dehumanizing comments like that, the left will pretend like thats representative of every single person who disagrees with them, even slightly.

@Botanica_Gaming which is the same logic as if someone is trying to say we should ban cars, and go back to the days of horse drawn carriages, and you respond with the rational "no, that's dumb", and their retort is "oh yea, are you trying to say nobody has ever died in a car accident???"
