Just like all the wokeists who did offensive and racially charged comedy back when it was socially acceptable, and are now pointing the finger at everyone else, as though nobody knows about their past. Looking at you, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman.

This thread is so immature, you all need to grow up.

@divemonkeys sometimes my ego dwarves my rational thinking.

He would be in this universe, if he were an aspiring actor that's trying to make his name. But, since he's already made his name, he's pulling the ladder up so nobody else can get up.

@rsrt6910 sorry, I guess it was a little short-sighted for me to rush to judgement so quickly.

For real, he's acting like movie casting based on physical features is wrong. How far does that extend? Should Dwayne Johnson start getting cast as a scrawny nerd? Should Scarlett Johansson be cast as a frumpy tomboy? And I know there's often weird castings like that just for absurd comedy or some other point, but I'm talking about serious roles, if you have a character that's supposed to look a certain way, you want an actor that looks like that. I don't understand why this even needs to be stated.

Same in The Boss, his character was basically a comically exaggerated version of someone with a "Napoleon Complex", by trying to compensate for his height by being a ruthless businessman.

@Your_Mossad_Handler I actually do have slightly more empathy for those kind of actors, like Ethan Suplee. He started acting real young and got typecast as the funny fat kid, I have to feel bad for him there because A) obese kids are usually more the parents fault than the kid's, and B) child acting is kinda fucked up to begin with. So he probably just had shitty parents. And once you make a name like that, it's kinda hard to get taken seriously, and you actually have serious career incentive to stay fat. You could literally lose your whole career by just getting healthy.

If you're ever looking for an example of "pulling the ladder up once you reach the top", this is about as on the target as you can possibly imagine, except in this particular case it might just be a stool, or a chair.

Wokeists make me think of the scene from Walk Hard, where Dewey is in rehab. And he keeps complaining about being cold, and then hot, so the nurse says "he needs more blankets, AND less blankets!!!" You can never win with them. No matter what direction you take, it's the wrong one. That's why you shouldn't even bother, the only appropriate response to their ridiculous demands is 🖕.
