It's impossible to tell if they're just liars, or if they genuinely believe their own lies, just in the last few days I've seen leftists online claim that there were no BLM riots, that's right, ZERO BLM riots, not a single one, that there are not large numbers of people moving out of NY and Cali, that's just "right wing propaganda", and that Florida has the worst covid numbers of any state in the nation. Completely delusional, that's not a even a distorted perception of reality, that's an entirely different reality.

@WhipLash42o but that attitude is far more widespread and far more extreme on the left than it is on the right, most right wingers actually watch content they disagree with, or at least are aware of the actual positions leftists hold, even if they straw man the positions sometimes, we're still aware of what leftists genuinely think. Leftists are completely clueless, they genuinely think everyone who disagrees with them is just a racist that hates minorities and poor people. Which makes no sense, because leftists have a higher average income than right wingers. But they won't even listen to conservative positions.

Exactly, the owners of my work are a conservative couple, they have 2 daughters. The older is the co-owner, she's kind of the 3rd in command of our business, extremely conservative, really more libertarian. Their younger daughter is a bat shit insane far left SJW type, she's at some fancy art school in Pennsylvania now. That gives you a pretty accurate image of her, you can tell just by looking at her that she's "that type", she wears the crazy leftist uniform and everything. But when she left to go to school, I remember seeing her outside hugging her dad, my boss, and he was crying, which is freaking bizarre, he's this gigantic, stoic dude that rarely shows any emotion whatsoever, even when he tells a joke he just has the dead stare, which makes it funnier. But anyway, my point is, if he was super liberal with a crazy far right daughter, you know he would have disowned her by now, she would be dead to him. But he doesn't care, I'm sure her political views are annoying, and a source of frustration for them, but he still loves his daughter no matter what. You just don't see that coming from the other side.

I've been saying this for a long time, AOC isn't as dumb as she seems, but she's not as smart as she thinks. The whole "I'm just a normal, relatable, dumbass millennial" thing is all an act, she's playing to her dumbass base and making herself a target for ridicule, so she can play the victim. But I think she views herself as some kind of evil genius, because she's making cash angels in a pile of cash like Scrooge McDuck while her idiot fan base views her as some champion for the working class. But it doesn't take a genius to manipulate idiots. You just have to be smarter than an idiot.

@drowningin of course that would never happen in today's climate, we live in a society where the stupid people destroying our society think that requiring ID to vote is "voter suppression". And the same people also think you should have to provide medical papers to go to Applebee's. But this is just my idea for a society that actually functions properly.

@drowningin I think we should just make the process of registering and voting a huge pain in the ass. Nothing that anyone can't do. Just a bunch of red tape, time consuming bullshit, maybe some kind of really easy test like a driving test. Just to make sure you care about voting enough to deal with all of it. All the dummies that don't know or care anything about politics would be like nah I'm good, that's all too annoying for me.
