It's because left wing politics gives the government more power. That means EVERYONE in government, regardless of their party or affiliation. That's why the "right wing" in western nations seems to just sit on their hands and let the left do whatever they want. Because that's precisely what they're doing. It's also why people who value freedom will always have to fight harder than people who want the government to take care of them.

@jacobblanton5179 that's not by accident though, civilized people "get along" better now because we can travel so much more freely than we could 100 or 200 years ago, so trade is a lot easier. Trade is always preferable to war. Even in the old days, peaceful trade agreements were sought instead of war, we just didn't always have the means to do that.
