I love when they use the "I'm mature for my age, so I date older men" line🤣🤣🤣 I swear that's just something a 21 year old girl said at a bar one time, and all the older guys were like yep, sounds good to me.

If you're over 50, and haven't settled down with a partner, maybe it's time to question if something went wrong in the first 30 years of your adult life. And yes, I understand there are unusual circumstances like your partner dying, I'm not talking about those situations. I'm talking about the cat ladies who write articles like this.

I'm straight, and I've rejected attractive women before. Not constantly, I'm not some gigachad that has to fight women off everywhere I go, but it's happened on occasions, even when I was younger I've just never been impressed with the dolled up little barbie type that thinks she can automatically have any man she wants just because she's cute. No thanks. No matter how sexy they are, those women are a headache. They've approached me in bars wanting to have a few drinks with me, I'm just like nah I'm good🤣🤣 they get even more furious when they see me talking to a more modestly attractive woman a few minutes later. I prefer the company over a decent looking, fun woman, rather than a really attractive woman with no personality.

@stephenthomas1492 oh it's unbelievable. My work is mostly women, and it's hilarious and revolting at the same time to listen to the single ones talk about dating. It's always "he was too short" or "he doesn't have a very good job", or "he wasn't that cute" when they're talking about the rejected dates they went on, they all complain about how they "can't find a good man", but you NEVER, and I really mean never, hear any of them talk about any reason why a "good man" would want to be with them, or any kind of qualities they have that they think a man would find attractive. Pure entitlement, they all look down on the men they go on dates with, and seem to have zero self awareness when it comes to what that guy might be saying about them.

I love how as you get older, younger women assume you're smart. It's hilarious. I just make shit up all the time, and they believe me because I have grey hairs in my beard.

@rudi5139 100%, it's truly revolting how imbalanced the societal expectations on men and women have become. And to be clear I'm not even saying I have a problem with societal expectations on men, we should have expectations, you should be stoic, you should be intelligent, you should work hard, you should stand on your own feet and be able to provide for a family. That's all fine. It's just that the standards and expectations for women have completely disappeared.

@eastbow6053 I completely understand that, the last few years have exposed the dirty underpants of society that I think most of us knew at least on a subconscious level, but probably didn't want to accept. It's been a tough pill to swallow. But that doesn't mean everyone sucks, the silver lining I see is that now we're more equipped to spot the people we shouldn't trust. I appreciate the apology though, it's not often people apologize on the internet. I think the anonymity gives people a perceived pass to act in ways they never would in the real world, and you're not going to have to see me at the water cooler on Monday and look me in the eyes, so it's easy to just run away and never look back. That's what most people do. And I see where my initial comment came across as harsh, I'm not going to apologize outright because I didn't mean anything malicious by it, was just a little dark humor. But I will apologize for it coming across more harshly than I meant it.

@redlionplumbing It gets better as you learn how to wield it. The trick is confidence, you can just make up random nonsense, but say it like you're a tour guide at a national park or something, like you're the expert and you've done this speech a thousand times before. It's amazing, and you can literally say anything. I take it way too far sometimes and make up the most ridiculous shit that doesn't even sound real, the other day I told someone women can't get pregnant if it's a full moon 🤣🤣🤣 I felt bad and had to tell her it was complete bullshit after she said "really???" Dead serious too, she 100% believed me. I couldn't in good conscious let that one go, if she's so stupid she believes that, I don't want to be responsible for her having a full moon baby🤣🤣🤣 the world doesn't need that shit.

@eastbow6053 well that's a shitty excuse if I've ever heard one. I think just about everyone has had to deal with some abnormal shit over the last few years, you're not special in that regard. And I'm not trying to claim I'm Mr. Warm and Sunny, mayor of Pleasantville 24/7, I'm an ass sometimes too. But I own it, I'm not gonna try to make excuses or act like the person I'm being an ass to is the one who should be apologizing to me. If I'm an ass to someone it's usually because I genuinely don't give a shit about your opinion, and if I'm an ass and I do care about your opinion, then I'll apologize, no excuses or justifications, I'll just say point blank, sorry I was being an ass, that's my fault. Because that's how adults conduct themselves, regardless of how other people treat them, even strangers on the internet.
