I've always thought it was funny how people cite Starship Troopers as a critique and satire of the pro military, pro nationalism type of right wingers, and that's true, but it's also a critique of the tree hugging, naive hippie types as well. Whether intentional or not, every time someone tries to make fun of right wingers, they end up making fun of leftists at the same time.

  2.  @alanwilliams4443  no no no, you have it all wrong, it was the unconscious bias of white supremacy that made him change out the blanks with live rounds, and point it at someone and fire. Totally not his fault. But he's an "ally" so it's ok.

  3. You really can't draw a direct correlation to regulating weapons and anything else though, because weapons can be used both defensively and aggressively. There may be some similarities between other regulations on other things, but you can't use drugs to prevent drug use, you either use drugs or you don't. Any attempt at a 1 to 1 comparison is just plain dishonest.

  4. I JUST learned yesterday that there were actually 2 shootings in California on back to back days, both elderly Asian shooters. I only heard about the first one, 11 killed, there were 7 killed the next day in a completely separate incident. The media is bending over backwards to avoid covering it.
