I'm 39, and it's pretty insane to think about how unique people around my age are, throughout all of human history. We're the last generation to experience life before the internet was everywhere. I know the internet has existed a lot longer than 20 years, but it wasn't really a common household thing until the early 2000s.

@johncarver9997 I'm from Texas, and yes, most people did have internet by the late 90s, but it still wasn't nearly like it is today, you weren't online all day, you would get online for a little while to download music or chat on instant messengers, watch porn, whatever it is you did, but it wasn't something you carried around in your pocket 24/7, it wasn't something that practically every business relied on, it wasn't something you relied on for basic information. The majority of our lives still took place completely separate from the internet until some time in the mid 2000s.

 @thehound9638 I don't think anyone is talking about 100% of any generation, if you take it that way, that's a problem of your interpretation.

@QuadDamage666 I'm old enough to remember DOS Prompt, that blue screen where you had to manually type in a code to run a program. If you get one backslash wrong, it doesn't run🤣🤣🤣 kids today would be blown away by that.

@@No_Lube and I was born in '84, the difference between how I grew up, and how someone born in '96 grew up is vast, to the point where it's pretty hard to even consider us the same generation.

Hippies > hipsters. And I can't believe I'm saying that, because I'm not a big fan of hippies either, but they're a hell of a lot better at minding their business.

@@No_Lube yea I think the way we view generations with labels like "baby boomer" and "millennial" is a little dated, ever since the internet age with the millennial generation, things have been changing so rapidly that an older zoomer is going to have such a different early life than the younger zoomers, they're barely even the same generation.

Nah, that's just more lazy excuse making. It's up to you to be the best person you can be, people with terrible parents or no parents at all can figure it out sometimes. I'm not taking all the blame away from bad parents, but ultimately the primary blame for you being a shithead is always on you.
