I love how Tim thinks that the steady leftward shift in politics that started in the WW2 era, or even before, is a result of internet technology that came into existence decades later.

@TheFatalcrest that wasn't real communism, even though everyone who followed the movement thought it was communism, because they called it communism, so for all practical purposes, it was communism. But ignore all that! It wasn't real communism, because I like communism, and I like the good things, and those communisms were bad things, so that wasn't communism, because I like the good things!

I just watched Demolition Man the other day, that is one of the rare movies that not only stands the test of time, it's actually better and more relevant than when it was released.

He makes a good point about social media and algorithmic manipulation, but his own ego just inflates that, because he feels like it's "his" theory, and in his head it's THE origin and reasoning behind all of it. When really it's just one aspect of how the ideology is spread. He makes it seem like it's purely accidental, and that the algorithms have just taken a mind of their own, and this is where the chips landed to make companies maximum profit, when really this has been a coordinated and targeted effort since before the internet even existed.

@theevermind I'm old enough to remember when the difference between "right" and "left" were more fundamental things that could be productively discussed, my early 2000s left wing friend would probably want progressive taxes, higher corporate taxes, and I would want lower taxes, a flat rate or at least closer to a flat rate. These differences are fine. We can discuss that and find common ground.

@assortmentofpillsbutneverb3756 the word "woke" is kind of playing into their game, because there's no rigid definition of a term that's basically nonsense a stupid person said and then other stupid people agreed with.

@danielseelye6005 nope, and I don't want to know. I think some things are best life secret.🤣

This shit started way before the internet even existed. Tim isn't completely wrong, the algorithms are a big, big, big part of how the leftism virus spreads, but the virus has been in our culture far before that.

Exactly, people have to write the programming for algorithms to work. It's not just a magical AI with a mind of it's own, human being created it's mind and gave it the marching orders. There's a reason if you do any kind of search for Nazis or fascists, it will make extra sure to tell you how bad and naughty they are, but if you search for communism you get much more charitable interpretations.

I was pointing and laughing at the upside down brained losers in Kyle Kulinski's comments yesterday, he had a video about a debate between Destiny and Milo Y. Half of the comments were lefticles calling Destiny far right, or fascist. These people are completely insane.

I just refer to everyone else as "regular people", and them as communists, leftist, leftist cult members, lefticles, culties, upside down brain, whatever insult seems best in the moment. As long as it's repeated numerous times that they're wrong, and everyone else is a regular person. Subtle conditioning. These people are 100% ego driven. Shame and ridicule works. Shame and ridicule is what roped them into the leftist cult in the first place.

Well ya see, when a netherealm demon loves a giant steaming pile of demon mule diarrhea, they make love, and communism is born. The end.

@melody I'm an atheist, but seeing the left these days I'm seriously starting to question if all that woo woo stuff about demons and hell is true.
